About me and who I'm looking for

INTRODUCTION: I'm a professional digital illustration artist specializing in fantasy, science-fiction, new age, and scientific subjects. I'm also a former pro-musician turned composer, who loves to write and record new music. I also enjoy photography, graphic design, trivia, writing, film & video production & editing. I hold belts in several martial arts, and love old and off-beat movies, especially sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, film noir, cult classics, documentary, and independent genres. As much as I love anything in this world, I love to laugh!

THE SETTING: A friend once said I have an Art Car personality - not exactly sure what that means, but I can't say I disagree. I enjoy walking, working the weights in my home gym, frisbee and football in the backyard or park, and studying and applying health and nutrition concepts. I occasionally play video games on rainy days.

THE MUSIC: I'm a rock & roll kinda guy! Rock music, in all its various forms and eras, is the air in my life. I also enjoy pop, jazz, R&B, new age, fusion, progressive, electronic, orchestral, and cinematic. And all this is important, because these are also the styles in which I compose and produce - so similar taste would be greatly appreciated.

THE BIG PICTURE: My political views lean to the left, and my spirituality leans to the east. I've had a very rich and eventful life, and would love to find the same in a partner. My youthful outlook on life means I still have much of the same fire in my soul and curiosity about life as I had in my early adulthood - and so my love of music, comedy clubs, finding tresures, laser shows, enjoying art in the clouds, and exploring life in all its wonder.

I'm looking for: THE STORY SO FAR: I'm just coming out of a 40 year marriage - we're still good friends, but she met another. So I'm a little shy on the dating front - but that doesn't mean I wouldn't love to meet new friends, especially those with similar tastes and interests - someone with a little more rock and jazz edge to them, and less country and easy listening. And if a more serious relationship can develop from this friendship - I would love that too!

WHAT I SEEK IN A PARTNER: I can be friends with anyone, but I'm looking for a very special and specific lady for a partner. I'm hoping to find a warm, caring soul with a truly youthful and fun-loving spirit, maybe a bit of a tomboy who can shine-up nicely when needed, with an addiction to laughter, quiet intelligence, a down to earth futurist, well-read with a possible fondness for sci-fi and fantasy, an appreciation for trivia and a general thirst for knowledge. Someone who loves modern rock and new age styles of music, with strong moral values, an open-minded outlook, honorable, faithful, compassionate, with integrity, and optimism - these are a few points I just can't imagine not sharing with a partner. At least I'm not picky! :)

EPILOGUE: I know this is a long-winded profile, but it seems to me the best way to find that special someone is to express those aspects of my life that make me a little special. Hopefully, kindred souls can connect.
