Control

I have noticed lately that the things people worry about the most are the ones they have absolutely no control over.

They ask questions like:
How made that decision?
When is the decision going to be made?
Who is in charge?
or ANYTHING starting with WHY?

I say take it as it comes. Do what you can, change what can be changed and live life to the fullest. Why worry about what you cannot change.

Lost

Someday I get that feeling that I am lost and don't know where I am going. It is appropriate that today, the 2nd day of the new year I have that feeling. Not sure where I want to go with life; am I doing what I really want with my life; am I the person that God wants me to be?

It may be due to the fact that the whole year is in front of me and I have the chance to change. Here's to changing what needs changing and finding ourselves in the process.

Cold/Windy

Reflecting back on 2013

Take the time to look back on 2013 and try to identify what the best thing is that happened to you this year.

Not an easy task for anyone.

For me I have many things that happened that are great but to pick just one -

I have to say when I really think about it the one thought that keeps entering my mind is a friend that I made this year. Someone who is one of my best friends. Someone whom I can tell anything to, share anything with, and someone who I look forward to hearing from everyday.

The end (2013) & A beginning (2014)

The End:
The end of another year is coming and as I reflect on it I see that as always there are good and bad things that happened this year.

The bad, as always, included the death of someone close. (An aunt in my case) But many people have had a much worse year than I have so I am going to focus on my good.

The good this year runs the entire spectrum - success in my job, HAVING a job, family, time with friends and new friends I have made this year.

I hope everyone Else's good outweighs their bad.

A Beginning:
As the new year approaches many people are making new year's resolutions. If you are one of those good luck in keeping them. I hope you succeed.

My philosophy is that we can make this year what ever we want of it so lets make it a good one, how ever you can.

Time

Sometimes it is very hard not to wonder where the time has gone. I look at a calendar and think it cannot be that day, or even worse that YEAR! Celebrating accomplishments with family can make you realize that time has moved on, sometimes it is marching even plodding but then at other times it seems at have been a race that is a full blown sprint.

As I sit and think I wonder what is going to happen in the next year and am I going to be left behind again????
