Boxing Day
Ok so here in the USA the day after Christmas is not called boxing day but it might as well be.This is the day everyone boxes up the gifts that don't fit r didn't want are return to the store.

On a serious agree with you that gift cards are a good idea and vouchers are too!
The alternative is to ask people what they want or need, but don't apply that rule to children unless you have a large bank account
