Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On Monday here in the USA we will be remembering a great man. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We remember him on the third Monday of January every year which is close to his birthday (15th of January)

Never has his message of love and racial equality been more needed, not just in the United States but in the entire world.

I wonder what he would think of the world today of he was alive. I can't help but think he would be both happy and sad at the same time. We have come so far but at the same time we have so very far to go.

The comment from a CS member or something else...elaborate please!
Leah, I agree. Dr. King wanted so much more for this world. He was and is such a great man. We ALL need to carry on his work to make this a world of equality to live in.

racial equality has most defiantly gotten better being an african american i can truely say that we are doing better than ever we have accomplished and will accomplish alot how ever we have forgotten what it is like to be deprived to be treated less than we have forgotten so much that we are now the ones doing the depriving and causing others to be without we have become exactly what dr.king was trying stop.
It is sad that people haven't listened to his teachings more carefully...alot of this lack of empathy may be due to the economic struggles we see now...just a thought...hard to feel empathy if life is a daily struggle...
