Jersey being the kind of island it is, you quite often find ordinary things have been given a little extra something.
For example, below is a pic of what is essentially the fire exit for a very nice ( ie very, very nice ) hotel.
The sort of place I'd stay in if I ever afforded one of those " Only once a lifetime" trips. Mind you, if I ever did then I'd go somewhere other than Jersey, of course.
I took this because it is a nice summery riot of colour, plus the reflections in the door are 'cool'

It would be impossible to live in Jersey and not mention Lily.
However, I'm going to save the ol' Langtree historical lecture for some other time and just post a picture...
The climate of Jersey over the summer is temperate and warm. Some of those with gardens do manage to grow some amazing stuff, which is always good to see while just ambling along.
