Just Finished

Just finished my first line dance class in 13 years. And I still got it...lol This was one of those "get out & do something" choices that I recently made. I used to do this while I was married & lived in Antioch. Got divorced & the dance instructors moved to Canada so I stopped dancing. Decided enough was enough and signed up for a class. Not beginners either...started right out with Intermediate. So I end up with 2 new dances (to me...the 2nd one was a refresher for everyone else) and caught on to them. Even got comments from the instructors that it looked like I'd done this before. Even when I messed up I was able to find my place & get back in step. applause Now I just need to find someone willing to sign up for the couples classes with me..grin Any takers? dancing

Really getting into planning this trip

As if going on the cruise by myself isn't enough, I'm also checking into the on shore excursions. Do I dare go for the zipline expedition in Ketchikan? Sea Kayaking in Juneau? Horseback Riding...Rainforest Bicycle Tour...or Alaska Sled Dog & Musher's Camp in Skagway? Decisions, decisions.

Well, the ziplining is definitely in...as long as there's room when it comes time to book it. And the kayaking is something I've wanted to do too. That last one is hard for me to decide on, although I'm leaning towards the horseback riding.

I have done a few things on my own before, like going to the movies, going to concerts and going to the rodeo. But this is the first MAJOR thing I'll be doing on my own. Getting excited about this!! yay

Stepping out of my comfort zone...

Yes I am. I usually don't go out and do things on my own (well, besides going to the movies, or the rodeo), but tonight, I've taken the plunge and registered myself for a singles cruise. Yep, a singles cruise. Alaska in July. In case anyone reading this is interested in the same cruise, I booked it through vacationstogo. I'm even asking them to pair me up with a roommate to keep my cost at double occupancy. I kept starting at the page debating should I or shouldn't I. Decided I should, especially since I haven't had much luck in finding a boyfriend. Course, if I do by chance come up with one sometime soon, before the cruise, they can always try to go too...lol

Either way, I decided it's time to start doing some of the things that I want to do. You may not believe it, but this is a huge step for me. Not just the cruise, but rooming with someone I've never met. I'm excited and a little scared at the same time. Gawd...I'm too old to be scared...lol

Guess the line dancing classes that I'm going to sign up for later this month will get me used to it. Hope so.
