every now and then...something happens that brings the old days slamming into the here and now...like a mack truck splatting on a concrete embankment...
this myspace thing...i can't even explain what it's done to me. an old friend found me on here, through other old friends...and it's been probably fifteen years since i've seen her. she was very important to me, but things got lost in the maelstrom that is katie.
so i sit here, and one picture after another comes flooding into my skull...i see my old and dear friends...i see laughter and tears. i see my mistakes, and occasionally theirs...and what each one of them meant to me.
i love you all...for one reason or another. be well.
well, recently received word that my mother's cousin had been checked into the hospital...she was dizzy and vomiting, and because she didn't have insurance, the family had tried to talk her out of going in. when she arrived at the hospital, the doctor decided he wasn't comfortable with her previous diagnosis of bell's palsy, and decided to do more tests.
janet has tumors throughout her brain, as well as being in her breast and bones. apparently it started out as breast cancer and metastasized...
our plans for spring break have changed, since half of my family is headed to chicago to say goodbye. they say she's at peace. i wish i could be there...

one of the best online friends that i have ever had...lost a child this week. i feel slightly guilty that i can't be there physically, and i'm wrenched up inside. i can't even imagine...
