Keep in mind there are always exception, but some of us do tend to date the same type of people over and over and over again, and hope to get lucky next time around. I must admit it’s quite understandable, after all that pool of people is what we’re familiar and comfortable with - it’s what we know.
But dating experts suggest that one should be more open minded and widen the net as to age, looks, career, and location. One of the first limitation we tend to set is age, especially for online dating. Reality check is when we see someone in the street that we‘re attracted to, or at a party, we don’t go to them and say “hello, how old are you?” or we don’t scratch our head and say “ Geeees, I wonder how old he or she is?“ For most people the natural attraction takes precedence over the preconceived road blocks mentioned above.
Other road blocks such as looks, ethnicity, career, and location are all areas that some leniency could prove beneficial. Although it is obvious we need some boundaries, but being too restrictive could prevent one from landing on “The One“. You never know; widen up your perspective a bit might help breaking that mold, opening up your eyes, your heart, and perhaps succeeding in finding that special someone, and be happy.
