Some time back (in 1990s) Russian brides were very required - they looked good (for those who don't like exotic looks), supposed to be cheap in maintenance, not spoiled, not feminists. Thousands of them were exported abroad.
But nowadays the situation changed. It seems that our Russian "gold reserve" - our women - is not in demand anymore.
Of course, I expect that I will have politically correct replies - like, "The nationality doesn't matter for a real love!", "I would date Russian, but personally I never did it", "What matter is your personality and sense of humour!"
I mean not only Russians, but also Ukrainians, Byelorussians and other Eastern European nationalities.

I posted my profile here some time back, but effectiveness is very low. I didn't receive many responses and none were of my interest.
Should I initiate correspondence myself? I am quite advance-minded, but my previous experience of Internet dating showed me, that if you write to the guy yourself, most likely he won't bother even to reply. Even if he does, the correspondence ends very soon, since there is no interest from one (male) side and kind of intimidation from another (female) side.
So should ladies initiate communication themselves or they should wait to be chosen?
