I am an avid reader of books and the lasst one I read was called Afterburn... strangely enough it was called the Afternburn and the author genreally writes about steamy romances.
The book was about two ppl who were searching for the "RIGHT ONE" and always wanted to approach each other but for about a year or so just looked on at each other's life each assuimg that the other was taken.
The guy eventually got the nerve up to ask the girl out amazed that she was single. To make a long story short they courted for a few months and she died innocently in a robeery a month before the wedding.
I cried at the end when I thought about how short life is and just when we think we have what we want it is taken form us. So take a little time to appreciate the good things in life and not worry about the simple things that affect us from enjoying it. Learn to be contented...
Has anyone read this book by BeBe Moore Campbell. I started to read and it and was completely mesmorised by the story. It tells the tale of a Black maid who meets a white Holocust survior and they soon become friends then business partners. Then one day her white partner skips with the business profits and this leads to a life time of torture for not only her but her offspring. Just a delightful read...
