All of the following comes from my experience online...all of a sudden we become incompatible even though I try to make my ideals clear...maybe it's just people's inability to tell me the truth so they use something that was always there as an excuse. There is nothing wrong with finding that you are just not interested in someone and being honest...anyway, just in case:
Quality - I'm looking for quality not quantity. I still have a child under 18, a full-time job, am about to start back to school and am also a primary organizer for a Fest in D. C. this summer. Yes, I do have time but I also have a lot going on. I'm flexible enough to make time for anything I want though. I will not do any of the above well if I don't have fun!
Roadtrips - I love to pick up and cruise on the weekends. That also means that distance within reason is worth it for the right person. Within reason would usually be about 150 miles but I'm also a hopeless romantic and will make the effort if it's further. I can't define attraction based on distance. I've seen too many great examples among my friends of love that started from far, far away...try England to Chicago...together in the US 6 years ago and just celebrated their 5 year anniversary.
Honesty - Everyone asks for honesty but doesn't always hear what they want to hear. I feel that things should be said before they snowball. I say what I'm thinking and feeling. I'm not mean, just honest. I can handle disagreements and can respect the honesty from someone else that I may not want to hear myself. I do believe in little white lies though...if you are wearing your favorite most comfortable shirt that I don't like too much, I may sugarcoat it just a bit...
Religion/Politics - I am not here to be saved and I refuse to define my beliefs with a title. As I stated, I am spiritual. I am not afraid of nor do I believe in hell...or heaven for that matter. Please don't try to save me. I am 46 years old and have decided where I am comfortable. If you're interested, I am more than happy to spar or just discuss. As well, I will not label my political beliefs. I don't see any reason. I decide who to vote for based on my priorities and who I believe will be the most effective.
Rock'n'Roll - My drug, no judgements. I know way too much useless info about bands and artists...even one's I don't really like! To me it's no different than all of the knowledge people have about actors and movies. I don't go to the movies much...I'd rather go see a live band. It's just my thing.
Non-Materialistic - I do not like diamonds, they are boring and way too expensive! Give it to charity! I could care less about cool cars or anything thing that people buy just to show off. I like jewelry but usually make my own or buy my favorite, sterling silver and colorful semi-precious stones.
