In the beginning we give ourselves so freely and completely.
As we progress and discover hurt and loss, we hold back parts in case we lose them.
When we have chunks of who we were missing, we are so gaurded that nobody can truly know you.
At this stage, I am finding that I throw everything I am, the good, bad and ugly, one by one and wait for them to fail, because they will it's human nature.

About this poem:
I guess it's knowing what you are doing and why that's a good thing. I still hope unrealistically that someone would pass my test and be strong enough to stay. But then I would have to let them.
