About WOMEN
So, God made Adam. Adam was walking around one day and realized that he was lonely, so he asked God for a companion. God said, "I can make a woman for you. She will cook and clean and do everything you ask her to. She will wait on you hand and foot. She will be so beautiful that you won't be able to take your eyes off of her. It's gonna cost you an arm and a leg, though."
Adam said, "Well, what can I get for a rib?"
"I'd like my wife to be beautiful, well-behaving, smart and rich." the bachelor said.
"Oh, well, then you have to get married four times."
Why did God make woman last?
He didn't want someone telling him what to do.
We talk about love, we sing about love, we write love poems, but do any of us know what real love is? Let me tell you a little love story.
This year, we are celebrating my great grandmother´s 100 anniversary. Although she will turn 100 years in one month, and she has a few health problems that came with the age, she is the most joyful person I will ever known. But this little story is about love. When she was 16 years old she felt in love. At 17 years old she got married and at 18 she already had her first child. She had with my great grandfather 7 children. They were happy and as in love as in the first days. Then the Second World War came and our country decided to go to war. This is when she lost her husband and the love of her life. She was young, beautiful and with her heart shredded to pieces. And yet she managed to raise all her children, a few grandchildren and her favorite great-grandson … me. She loved us all, and we all felt her love, we all feel her love and her kindness. She has and as a young woman had so much to offer, but after my great grandfather was lost she never looked again at another man. She lives her life with the thought that at the end she will be reunited with the love of her life and she is happy and she was there for all of us whenever we needed.
For me … this is love and I don´t think that I will ever find it.
I read that somebody had a dream about interviewing God. Here is the interview:
“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.
“If you have the time” I said.
God smiled. “My time is eternity.”
“What questions do you have in mind for me?”
“What surprises you most about humankind?”
God answered…
“That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.”
“That they lose their health to make money … and then lose their money to restore their health.”
“That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.”
“That they live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never lived.”
God’s hand took mine and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked…
“As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons you want your children to learn?”
“To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do
is let themselves be loved.”
“To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.”
“To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.”
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.”
“To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.”
“To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings.”
“To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.”
“To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”
“Thank you for your time,” I said humbly.
“Is there anything else
you would like your children to know?”
God smiled and said,
“Just know that I am here… always.”
Do you have a song that will provide you the perfect definition for something? I have a song that gived me that, it pointed out what I want to find in a woman. And I realised that just now altough I know the song since I was in the 8th grade... It´s called Somebody and is played by one of my favorite bands, Depeche Mode.
