So here is the question/debate/discussion I post to all of you.
Should a divorced woman be allowed to keep her ex-last name?
Before you answer, I know many of you mother's want to have the same last name as your children (for their sake) but, isn't that what saving a marriage is about? Understanding that there is no form of abuse or infidelity in the relationship. I mean it's not like keeping your ex-last name is going to help ease the pain that children are going to feel when their father is gone. This of course is assuming that kids are involved. If kids are not involved, I say no way to keeping the last name. You give up the right to carry on that name in the process of the divorce.
I look forward to all the responses. And don't worry, you can't hurt my feelings. I have been in the military too long to get my feelings hurt. Say what you think/feel don't hold back.
Get a job, get married, have some kids, buy a house. You are now living the american dream, or are you. Seems to me like another great sales tactic. I don't really think it is a one size fits all dream. I've lived the "american dream" and I don't think it is me. Don't get me wrong, I would never trade in my kids, but I think I would have been better off without all the other BS. Now it is time to live my life the way I want to.
