You are correct. I am not necessarily unhappy, it just bothers me that she kept my last name. That is my birth given name, not hers. My father felt the same way when he and my mother got divorced. I guess I inherited that gene from him.
No, I don't mind you checking out my grammar/English. I am flattered. I take it as a compliment.
After more than 19 years in the military, I think I can help you out here. He sounds like a nice guy, but don't for one second think that he is going to stay true to you while he is gone (at this time). When he gets back, take it slow. Right now he is lonely and felt something for you before he left. He is clinging on to that feeling. Don't have any unreasonable expectations of him or your self and see what happens when he gets back. Having a pen pal back in the states is really cool when you are deployed, especially when it is a beautiful woman. I think you said it best when you said you are going to be completely honest with him. Don't string him along if things don't work out. "Dear John" letters are never good, but you guys didn't really have any kind of relationship before he left. If he is into you when he gets back, go for it, but like I said, take it slow. Good luck :)
