Where did the 'slow set' dissappear to in Niteclub

Being recently 'dumped' back onto the single scene, i was horrified to find that the special time of the night where the dj would play 5 or 6 of the latest ballads is gone!! This was the time that all fella's had to sober up, wipe the guinness dribble from his chin, hyper-chew a gum,stare at the 'target' he was goin to be shouting 'everything i do i do it for you...'for the next 4 minutes in her left ear. It was a fail-safe way to meet girls!!! no speaking,no chat but midway thru the song you would lift your head from her left shoulder, the girl was temporarily tone deaf from the shouting/serenading and hopefully
you would meet in the middle for the 'shift'.
