Aaah a moment of clarity between mother and child is a wondrous thing....And one to be shared and remembered..

Today I was in the kitchen making a cuppa after a semi ordeal of trimming the cats paw fur with had become rather overgrown.
The cat was suitably annoyed with Jess, but for some weird reason I was spared any animosity. Jess had bought the cat in and I had commented that the cat actually wanted to go back outside and get away from us.
So jess was standing there pondering this last snub from the cat which had boogied on out the window.
Jess said..."Shes such a b*tch" and I said something like "She's cross, leave her be"
So jess said, " But I didnt bring her up that way!"
We both stopped and pondered what she had said, and finally jess said " bet you never thought you'd live the hear that, ay mum?"
She's right. I didnt.

The ability to laugh at the rare ironic moments between me and the 20 year old did not escape either of us.
