If you are having minor surgery or a specialize test, do you find that versed and demerol, concious sedation, helps you relax or do you like to be totally asleep?

Terrified to "go under". Ive had 4 children via C- section and was awake for all of them. Ive had a few other procedures that involved anesthesia and I choose to be awake but sedated for all of them also. Id rather have a spinal block or a local with sedation that never wake from going under general.

LoL, I had to go thru a psych ward to get a permit to show dentists so that I can prove that I'm deathly afraid of it. Everytime I go in for a clean, I always know they'll find a cavity...just depends on how many...and I brush and floss everyday blues

the usa have more advanced medical equipment than here as as im aware, but medical care here is good its just the waiting thats the problem. Private health care is very good, ive had a few things done private and they are very quick

I cant have children the "normal" way.

But really...I have an overwhelming fear of being under general. The only time that I was I was too sick to care. I will stick with spinal and sedation...
