You have to organise them yourself, Timmy. put up a thread and get some feelers and ideas and see how you go. i have seen about half a dozen posters on here from adelaide but there may be a lot more just browsing. Do an adelaide search for members and send out some email invitations if you think that would be better. good luck.
And dont expect hundreds first time around.. as word spreads they get bigger , im about to do another brisbane one myself , but by all means do it!! find a good place for food/drinks and make sure there is good entertainment , having it all happen in 1 place is better as you dont have to worry about travelling between venues , and see what affordable accomodation is available closeby for those who have distance to travel.

I wanted to organize a bicycle picnic along the Torrens. Perhaps near the festival theatre. Unfortunately my best friend got stolen the other night and now I'm all sad and lonely.
However, I'm in the process of trying to buy a new one. (Bicycles aren't cheap these days.) So perhaps one fine weekend soon, we might meet amongst the swans and blue/green algae and I'll roll up with an instant picnic in my panniers.
I really want a picnic. But a Picnic is no fun on your own now is it?
You don't have to have a bicycle. It's just that cycling is my thing right now so everything has to be done on a bicycle. And hopefully it won't get stolen this time. Anyone else here interested?
