LovelyAsTheSunMesa, Arizona USA5 Threads 225 PostsI love the May/December thing. I am 22 & currently seeing a wonderful 41 yr old man. I've always liked, ahem, older gentlemen since I was about 15, but never acted upon it for obvious reasons, until recently.(I have a loving father, to counter the belief that I am longing for a male figure) I have always felt older than I am & I feel more mature than my peers. Young men in my age group do not appeal to me in any way. My reaction to them is "ehh, give them 10-20 yrs, then we'll see." I am independent & know myself very well. Also, I tried several times to catch a man's eye, but I would notice the ring on the finger, wifee not too far or catch up to their man, clutch his hand & glare at me as if I am a shameless gold digger. It's terrible how some young ladies have given the honest young ladies such a bad reputation as gold diggers, when I am someone who truly appreciates an exquisite, fine man in his prime who knows how to treat a lady. I would love to hear comments, questions, stories or well meaning words of encouragement & support. Be nice

Good for you. I hope everything works out. I'd love to be able to give you advice, but only you know what is going to make you happy is you. The best advice I can give is to be carful and make the most of your time together.

why thank you ! that is the most unjudgemental advice i have heard since dating the "decembers." make the most of our time together is just what i needed to hear. you can imagine my friends & familys reaction...i know it is out of love & concern, but i am one to make weighed & responsible decisions for myself, always have. so thank you very much ! what lovely words to share

I have found that you never really know what tomorrow brings and happiness can't be found in numbers of age. (Within reason) Pursue happiness not a numbers game. (Within Reason)

right, within reason. i couldnt find myself dating a 70 yr old lol although im sure there are fine 70s men out there. that is wonderful advice
