Theres a medium at the local village hall, he's doing a special night where he will attempt to heal members of the audience from ailments that have been plaguing them for many years.
The villiage hall is soon brimming with people, some disabled and infirm, sick and ill, hoping to be cured, others are there to see the amazing healing powers of this world renowned medium.
As everyone is seated, the medium comes out and stands on the stage infront of a big red curtain. he welcomes everyone and says:
"tonight, you will witness miracle, as i heal members of the audience before your very eyes!"
The medium scans the room and points to a man sat at the front with crutches infront of him.
"tell me" says the healer "whats wrong with you dear man, whats your name and what is your illness?"
the man replies "my name is cecil, and ive been crippled since birth. the doctors arent sure whats wrong but i cant walk properly without my crutches, and im in a lot of pain"
The healer says "well tonight cecil, im going to cure you, come up here, behind the curtain and i will heal you"
cecil does so, and the healer continues to scan the room.
"one more, im looking for one more to perform my miracle on"
he says this and points to a man at the back of the room.
"you" he says pointing to him "what is your name and your ailment"
the man replies "my namess woger and i cant pronouccce my dubble woo's and i have a lissssp. everyone makess fun of me!"
"come here to me roger, and get behind the curtain, im going to make all this teasing go away, im going to heal you son"
Roger does so. He and cecil stand behind the curtain and the healer comtinues. he concentrates very hard for a few minutes and says
"cecil, throw away one of your crutches" cecil does, and there is a loud bang.
"now cecil, throw away the other one"
Cecil does, and there is a louder bang followed by silence"
"now roger, i have healed you both! talk to us, tell us what has happened behind the curtain!!!"
roger replies...
"SSSSCECIL FELL OVER!!!"
