What's really killing mexicans is poverty. It's a heavily populated country, and overcrowding is well known to cause disease.Half the population live in poverty, and 20% live in dire poverty, that is have no sanitation, suitable housing, and eat garbage or nothing at all. The young people in the country are at high risk because of poverty. I dont think that an affluent country like NZ will be affected in the same way as a poor country like Mexico. I think it's a huge overreaction and will blow over in no time.

And I just want to add that tamiflu is known to have little effect, and facemasks are a complete waste of time as microorganisms are microscopic and pass straight through. Your best bet is to stay away from people as an extra precautionary which makes good sense with any flu really. I mean who wants the flu for goodness sake. I personally take mannatech products like probiotics they are great. Haven't had a cold in years.

And I will also add that if you do get a flu, that vitamin c and garlic 3000mg works great and costs NZ$12 all up. Dont be a mug another words.
