It is an interesting topic, but you answered your own question by posting a picture of yourself.
There has to be a physical attraction first, which is why we prefer to see photos. Then we move onto getting to know the person better.
Cruel world I know, but thats reality.
Many plain looking people become very attractive once you get to know them.
Many beautiful women pick the old, ugly guys, when they know there is more than a million in the bank.
So I guess it's down to personal choice as to how you pick someone to communicate with.
Move on, if they don't like your photos.
There are plenty out there who will.

MO is that at least she was honest and didn't string you along. I'd rather have someone say: look, I don't like the way you look and that's the end of it, instead of them making me believe they do, when they don't.
People, men and women, look at the photo first; they're attracted by one's appearance. I'm sure you don't talk to "everyone" on here, hoping to discover some gem about their personality. Right or wrong, that's the way it is.
Not sure what that has to do with long distance though...

Exactly....we all are attracted to what the other looks like, although it is not a priority of mine, but it is a denominator. You may not have liked to hear it, but at least she was honest and upfront.
