I understand what you are saying, it seems a great night out to lots of folks really means getting drunk out their skulls,here where i live in Scotland its the way of life for some folks and alcohol can be very addictive,it gives a false feelgood factor and creates bravado in many,at the end if the day we all have choices, i for one can take it or leave it.

Sensible attitude - Today we see around us so many people who think getting pissed in public and causing grief to others is what everyone should do and the be all and end all of existance!
I have discoverd that anyone not passionately interested in Football clubs, the assocaied hatred and warfare, Reality TV and other mind rotting activities such as drugs who instead, has a sane hobby or hobbies, who joins an association club or sociaty for the reasons of meeting like minded people is ridiculed collectively by the Intelligentcia Nouveau crowd and told we are abnormal or cranks except when they are isolated.
So in short - Stay away from them and do your own thing.
