lancerbora: im not talking about anyone!!!

Good, would hate to have to get grumpy with you lol

Ah am only kidding.

I may not believe in soulmates and the 'someone for everyone' thing but that doesnt mean I dont appreciate that others do, or that I dont think two ppl can have a good relationship.

Fraya: This is something I`ve questioned from time to time. Does love equal happy? Is it easier to recognise or "feel" unhappiness than it is to feel happy? I guess it depends on what the individual wants from their lives. The love thing is frequently fed to us as the ultimate state of being.....

Isn't it though?

You don't have to be coupled with another in order to feel love, be loved, or to give it. It's everywhere, and not dependent on anyone other than yourself.

Although it can be even better with someone else.grin

But isnt it a general assumption that the (love) spoken of here is the type that involves two people consumed with each other? Your description suggests that of self containment....?

Hazella: I think as somebody said earlier you gotta live in the moment. Jeez we've all been hurt at one time or another but you can sometimes be over cautious. The agony and the ecstasy are all part of being in love.
I think you can fall in love many times
hello again hazella- mayeb will get to meet you this time round eh? thumbs up

Yes, generally it is, but love shouldn't be limited to just that. I didn't mean for it to sound self contained, but rather to share it freely with everyone you like, or care for, not to save it for just one individual.

The kind of love you feel and express for that one (who may be more than one person in a lifetime) is a bit different, but still all comes from the same source, you!

I do like the "consumed" idea though.grin laugh

LOVE is a very general term in that case. I love my family and friends. I love my kids like theres no tomorrow. That feeling I`ve had for men in my lifetime has an awful lot to do with hormones which... as has been stated here....can have a short sell-by-date. The trick is to keep it going in the head rather in the loins....I think. Obviously I`m no expert....I`m here!! laugh

I'm no expert either, far from it. laugh I just know how I feel about it, and it may apply to some others here as well.

Yeah, the lust part is easy, and shouldn't be underestimated at all. Something about the other person is obviously pushing buttons and flicking on switches, so why not see where it goes. It's all gotta start somewhere. grin

Doesn't mean you have to go through with anything, that it'll lead to long lasting love, or that it'll be forever, but you never know unless you take that chance.

I get the feeling a lot of people are scared of their own feelings, and maybe have even been hurt in the past, but don't let that stop you.

As Rosara also said, it's about acceptance. Don't let your fears rule your life.

I think a person can fall in and out of love very quickly. To love is something quite different. I'm not going to say it's unconditional because I don't believe love can ever be absolutely unconditional. To me to love is to accept, to compromise, to understand, a coming together of emotions, a meeting of minds and a load of other cliches
laugh
Anyway, I've only had fleeting experience of the latter but plenty of the former. I fall in love at least twice a week
