My ipod touch headphone jack went last year and Apple gave me a new ipod. If it was jail broken I would have got nowt. What can you do with a jail broken ipod touch?.

you can restore it back to the original firmware if you had to send it to apple. basically you can put any app on, super nintendo games and playstaion 1 games. Basically you have full control of it compared to usuing apple firmware.

Plus the creator of the best jailbreak firmware is authorised by apple but ye like losty said above it voids their warranty.
