Surprisingly enough, although I don't believe in mind games.
I do think that sometimes the cool approach is better.
Obviously it depends on the individual. I've had one good relationship where I waited for a while, another crap one where I dived right in. All long term... But I wonder if the long tried and tested technique is the best?
I mean you don't wanna spread yourself like Flora and put it all out there like an ejit nor do you want to go over the top and be perceived as a disinterested ice maiden.

I've seen girls chase men and think it's sad. I've seen some go OTT with the H2G approach and lads just lost interest quickly.
So where is the balance? Which do men prefer?

*disclaimer, yes I know I flirt with everything with a pulse but those that have my interest, my real interest, are met with a serious side, that I rarely display to my playthings.*

Ok

As I have said I am not shy have never been. I am very outgoing and chatty. Is that seen as a fault? Would you perceive me to be not decent because of it?

I am genuinely curious about this.

Well I am NOT shy and I am NOT retiring.
But I'm a pretty good girlfriend, when I'm in love with someone.
I mean, it's only a certain type of person that could love me, someone nuts.

But although I always maintain to thine own self be true, I think it's important to maybe hold back a little at the start. See how things pan out.

I unfortunately think this, due to experience.

Shy and retiring or slappers?

I think his wording was off but I get the psyche.
But I know from all my lad friends.....

Girls that tell a lad they are mad about them, from the getgo are seen as too easy.

If I like someone, male or female, I'm vocal about it.

So now I'm pondering if I should just succumb to the age old Hard to Get method.

Not that I'd be that hard to get, few pints and all that!

I like a girl who is upfront tells you what she wants and likes i would'nt be interested in the shy retiring type to much work and you never know where you stand

That is music to my ears.
I couldn't do shy and retiring, ever.
Just not me.
But I often feel around new people (this is when I'm sober) that I have to hold back a bit. Let them run the convo, my sister says that not everyone "gets" my kinda mind, so I have to tread carefully.

I bet they'd be queuing up in the local asylum.
