Well... you know why I haven't been around for awhile though. (sigh)
I'm struggling to get moving here again, I've been off my workout regime for some 2 months now and it's damned hard to get motivated and moving again. I'm stiff, in all the wrong places. Eeek! I'll make it somehow though...

Yeah it's a real shame too. It's such a nice state... what other state do you see them making belt buckles in the shape of? Not California that's for sure!

maybe that's what the problem is...we're all too happy and content..nothing to complain about because the state is so great.
Well, we don't necessarily have to complain...I LOVE the state of Texas...& I'm a Florida transplant!
Since everyone is so bored, how 'bout we list some of the reasons we love it here? I'll go first...
CACTUS: Very hardy & easy to maintain...& if you're plagued by Peeping Toms...a nice patch under every window will cure that problem in a jiffy!

Being a Florida native...I am all too well acquainted with hurricanes...& you're right...we do get plenty of notice. But whether it's Florida or Texas...that's just the price we pay to live in Paradise...
What I also like about the state of Texas is the diverse terrain...wooded hills...to coastal beaches...to the beautiful desert...we have it all! Has anyone been to Balmorea? I've seen video on it...WOW! What a cool oasis!

moideux: I've got a really good friend in Abilene who I met on another site...have spent a couple of weekends out there... Cool little town!
I'm always going stir crazy here myself with nothing to do! Just not much to do as far as stuff I like but go to the drag strip or shop (which I hate doing! LOL!)More Threads
