Yes, it is a hard call. There are a disturbing number of cases like this I have heard recently such as the lady in SA who allegedly killed her teenage son in the car then drove his body to the police station, the father who drove his kids into the dam, the father who threw his daughter over the westgate bridge. Are we not coping with the pressures we have today? Are we products of our environment? Are we consuming too many unnatural substances in our diets that is altering our natural chemical balances?
Yes it is very hard as alot of what we read in the papers and see on the news I find unbelievable and scarey....

This is an update on story from today's headlines. I am quite disgusted by the fathers response considering he didn't seem to mind leaving the clearly disturbed woman with his child.
How can this happen, this woman was obviously incapable of taking care of this child but those who she had contact with have chosen to do nothing but turn a blind eye. To me they are every bit as guilty for allowing this to happen and I find it extremely incomprehensible that they can then condemn this woman for what she did.
How people sleep at night is beyond me , They cant honestly say they were unaware the child was in danger ...
Even the hospital knew !!!!Its just wrong sadley she will never recover and to be honest imagine how horrible for her if she does, to realize what she has done !!!They say the other children were not harmed but who knows what they saw the phycological damage of just knowing they were there will impact them foreva poor kids Tragic totally

I know of a girl in this town who has schizophrenia.
She got pregnant and had a baby. her sister ended up with the baby because she was that mentally ill. She was in and out of the mental hospital. People would ask her about her baby and she didnt even know she had a baby. I think it may be kinder to get their tubes tied if they cant even look after themselves properly.

I work in disability and I have always said this... unfortunately it is illegal to impose forced tubaligation on anyone
we had one little disabled girl in the childrens home I worked in years ago who had fetal alcohol syndrome cos her mother was an alcoholic...
we found out that this women had another 4 kids exactly the same in 4 different states
she would just keep popping them out and getting them taken off her
