plus i need to know some cheapest places for shopping like ( outlets) i knew that is far from the centeral and i need a privet car to go there so is that other way to go there by transportation and how much it will cost me / how long time distance takes.
lezomezo: hi, thx alot , It's my first time I heard about this site, i will check it, thanks a lot :-)
You can visit Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and Empire State Building in one day. Then go to Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn bridge the next day. You can visit the museums the 3rd day. There's a lot of clothing stores at 6th Avenue that's are affordable.
You can shop at China Town or Canal Street if you want to buy cheap stuffs. I don't know about the outlets. Hope that helps. Enjoy your trip.
Those are great "Tourists" places. Please be aware of your surroundings while out and about on the tourist trails. As far as Outlets are concerned, you would have to get a "Tour Bus Ride" to "Woodbury Commons" the shopping outlet, but it is really not that cheap - considering the time and transportation costs involved. Stick to Macy's (and many other stores) on 34th Street in Manhattan.
Sorry, ALL THE ABOVE ARE WRONG!!! SOOO WRONG. I am in the retail business.... AND, the best SHOPPING in NYC, is on 14th Street,125th St in HARLEM, Soho Flea Markets, China Town.... soo many, quality,retail stores... shoes and the best jeans (On Broadway,SOHO). Visit Soho, also, a lot of flea markets,craft markets,Street Markets,it's like the little Paris of NYC,just cheaper. NOTE: ROCKERFELLA Center area, is the MOST EXPENSIVE area in NYC.(Think about,the real estate,there,could'nt possible be CHEAP?) Also, MACY"S is too "OVERATED" and EXPENSIVE.
After, finished on 14th Street, walk down to Soho,Chinatown, you can also,visit the Stock Exchange and the WORLD TRADE CENTRE, THE STATUE OF LIBERTY etc...all walking... or short stops on the Bus, that takes you completely through NYC ON BROADWAY. For $2.25c. on the Midtown BUS........javascript:emot('');
Yes if you go in September you will be in time for the West Indian parade in Brooklyn. Definetely go to Brooklyn where Mike Tyson grew up go over to the bronx and watch the freestles straight New York;. Harlem has got good History get hungry go on and try your hands at some of sylvias best. Fianly do some shopping on fith avenue got some great stores out there go check it out. Could go on forever but will spoil your joy.
Hi there..just wanted to throw a few suggestions out there...our Museum of Natural History on the west side of Manhattan is awesome..along with the Planetarium..shopping well if you want outlets the best place is Woodbury Commons..I'm sure there is a bus that goes there from The port Authority but not sure..If you really want to see the REAL nyc go to Queens and visit the ethnic neighborhoods..such as Jackson Heights..there is Indian, Pakistani, Kuwait,arabic..then if you go a little further in Queens you"ll see the Columbians, Dominican, Puerto Rican, and other Latin ..then in Woodside Queens you'll see Philipine..very ethnic..but Manhattan is what everyone wants to see. Statue of Liberty, Museum of MOdern Art..there are bicycle rentals in Central Park. Dont do the horse carriage ride..it is sooo expensive and really not worth it. and please know that at all the museums the price that is listed is a suggested price...they dont tell you that..you can actually pay much less than what is listed..and the Bronx Zoo is free on Wednesdays..Hope all this helped..I was born and raised here so ask me anything.
I agree about the outlets they are not really that cheap..you want real cheap.. go to Jamaica Ave. in queens..from about 150 st. up to 175st. there are stores all over..great prices for all your desires.I would also recommend that if you buy something from someone on the street ask this.."is that the tourist price"..I've talked down many a peddler just by mentioning I'm not a tourist..shame but true..and yes watch your pockets..criminals prey on tourists cuz they're always looking up at the buildings..again shame but true
Thanks april , This is what I worry about it (unsafe places) I hope to be choosed the right place to stay. and if there are any advice for subway lines , im listening Thanks again
