I just got back from my NY trip, it was a short one.i enjoyed sightseeing and did a little shopping but what frustrates me most is how people can be mean and rude. I have experienced this mostly in shops, the cashier and the salespeople. I know this is not a question but just want to share. I dont think what happened to me was not a discrimination, since its not only me and my friend was treated badly but also some other white tourist. One incident was when we were in NYC at the biggest costume shop, the tourist (inluding us)were so overwhelmed with how big the place was with all those stuff.the others took pictures, and the saleslady said "hey no taking pictures here" the tourist said sorry and stop taking pictures. then the sales lady called another colleague and said out loud.."call security!" the tourist was so pissed off and told the lady..we are not criminals nor violated your shop. Me and my friend experienced another thing..they shout at us when we try to open the costume dress to check if it will fit our bodies (the size says only a bracket from 4-6, 7-10)..he said again out loud "hey dont open that, you cannot open it" because of that, the other customer were looking at us..as if we did something bad. We have experienced it from other shops, as well as when we asked direction from people. I am not saying all the people there are bad.there are some who are nice too..especially when we get to Jersey..they are so nice people..very different from New york. All in all, my trip was nice and I can say..its good to have seen NY but if you ask me if i will come back..maybe not..I rather go to other city.
