I am 3rd generation devorced. I have 2 daughters one of which is married and my hope is that she will end the cycle. As a child when my parents were together we celebrated the holidays with BIG family get togethers. Not so much anymore. Whah Family is spread out all over the country and difficult to get together. Is this true with your family? With that, wishing the FAMILY at CS a very very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
This is the first year that I am not doing a big holiday dinner or celebrating for XMAS, I feel it is a good thing. For years, all the major holidays were celebrated at my house: Easter, 4th of July (also youngest one's b-day), Thanksgiving, XMAS. Everyone would gather and we would all have a great time and enjoy the day together. Now that my children are adults and have lives and interests of their own, it is time for the tradition to change, for them to develop their own traditions and find their happiness with it while I find my own. I like it.

Well not really for me because I live in a small country and only member of family not in my city is 200 miles away, so different for Brits.
