steve6610: Well said . A lot of that was evident in Melbourne , especially the second round when his game was in simple terms ..crap he lost his temper on 5 of the holes . I hope he never surpasses Jack Nicklaus because he wasnt just a legend and a gentleman but a great role model for any young budding sportsperson
This is interesting because I've never known much about Woods. I didn't know that he was less than gracious with fans...a lack of confidence perhaps?
I saw something on the news yesterday that said Woods' recent visit to Australia brought an estimated $30 million dollars into our economy. There are apparently, big concerns about what his absence from golf will do financially to the game.

you are correct Amelie it did bring in around that much, in Australia he was more upset with how he was playing & I suspect your last bit...lack of confidence was a factor or whether the current events played on his mind

LaVerdad: This is getting really boring and quite frankly I do not give a damn or concern myself with the private life of others. Another Tiger Woods Thread, getting to be as popular as the religious ones.
People are just too damn nosey and have nothing better else to do. Do you really care about his predicament? Man there are people dying in this world from lack of water and the globe are concerned with yet again another celebrity and his private life, but yes he is a great golfer.
I appreciate that a lot of people feel this way. Walter Cronkike, the US newsreader who died recently, used to complain bitterly that celebrity related stories had no place in major news for the same reasons you've mentioned.
Personally, I find celebrity predictaments very interesting & I think the reason many do is that it's almost like a social experiment at work. You give someone $80 million dollars, all the attention and success in the world and then you can literally sit back and watch how they cope and manage. Who knows? There may be 10 guys this weekend who don't cheat on their wives because of what is happening to Woods now.
Not just the price its going to cost him in keeping this stuff under wraps but his marriage ,not being with his kids, gaining the trust of his wife again,a price I am certain he can not pay with money
Looks like he couldn't handle the crisis to avoid significant damage to his image (by contrast to Letterman, for example). All major corporations are dropping him from their ad campaigns as he is not exactly a 'role model' anymore... Good-buy multi-million dollar contracts. Better to avoid the media for a while.
