Is being sober and clean a bad thing? (4)
rockymntmanButte, Montana USA1 Threads 3 PostsI find that by not drinking or drugging that it is just impossible to meet girls who respect that. I'm proud of who I am and what I do. I don't mind going out, I enjoy it. I like good bands like anyone else, But finding a girl who enjoys good coffee and nice quiet nites also, is impossible. I know it seems that way, but you know its all on lifes terms. Hard to remember that sometimes isnt it? I have been clean for4 1/2 yrs and then moved to Montana where the meetings are once a week, but I pray God will find me a new partner who shares my new way of life. Hope you feel better now! Hummmm....have you tried church. I have found that most strong church goers are pretty sober and clean. Maybe you could join a group or two there or go if they have mixers. Maybe you would find a nice woman there. Just a thought! :)
I gave up drinking almost ten years ago. I don't really miss it at all, truth to tell. I know I don't miss the hangovers and gee I certainly have a LOT more money in my pocket when I no longer sat around in the bar. Go figure. So, no clean and sober is not a bad thing. Neither is someone who gets a little loopy on occasion. As long as no one is getting hurt... from loved ones at home to accidents on the roads, it's all good.
