I try to answer mails and be friendly but sometimes if my internet is slow I might put it off and forget to reply to mails...sorry to people that I have not mailed back

just a question JLM. whats wrong with saying hello and asking someone how they are? is that not how it is when u meet someone out and about ie the first step in getting to know someone? it really riles me when peoples attitudes are to expect something more from a first mail, saying hello is just the first step and then the conversation flows from there (or not, in some cases...). as if its not nerve wracking enough sending a first mail in the first place
And then guys say we are bad for not sending a reply? FFS!
yup aggree der, and not any better @ starting conversations... easier to start with a simple hello.....
A 'hi, how are you' email to me is fine, better than rude, but if they start off nice then turn rude I just don;t reply. What do some guys think? that it will get them somewhere or are they getting off with them emails

I agree, I was just about to say the same thing. What else would you say in a first email ? Maybe some people would prefer a poem or something like that !

Well I have found guys have asked me loads of questions, when they get the answers thats it no more contact - whats with that? 1 lad I knew so now is he going to go back and tell the people I know that I am on this? not that there is anything wrong but why ask all the questions just to stop contact?

Well that guy is a dickhead if he does that to you. But i bet their a lot of ppl who have met up thr dating sites esp my age group i.e. early to mid 30s. So i wouldnt worry about it. Ppl i know know im on here and on POF and im not bothered. If it gets me off the shelf and helps me find somebody thats all i want
