JAN_is: We are still here, but too scared to correct anybody for fear of ridicule and censure.... I know full well, I´ve suffered for it, and continue to do so, even though I think I´ve tried to be polite about the destruction of the English language by the native speakers here.

Oh I just write quick and always make mistakes but make sure I do not when I have to make a living from it.

scousedon: Love to know where you got that quote from Jan?? Why do you harp on about time on here? I have nothing personal against you at all just don't know why you felt the need to come on the the original post that has plagued the site for the last few hours? Sit back and ask was it really needed to be posted??

It's simple, it takes time to get to know people. The longer you've been on the site, the better understanding you have of the others here.

Not only other people, but also the site itself, and how it works. There are no mods posing as members on the forums, just members who want to play the part.

I have yet to see Jan post anything about any special treatment or entitlements from being here longer, only of the friendships and trust built over time.

I agree ......... it would simply be nice though if people could be genuine instead of all the behind the scenes crap though. Insecurity and immaturity seems to be rampant. Private emails being forwarded to others is not cool. thumbs down So mind who you talk to I guess is the lesson to learn.

That's the benefit of time, in getting to know someone, and knowing who you can trust.

Hi Kid,

I agree with all you have siad except the last paragraph. Perhaps you have not seen it but i have seen it. Being a "newbie" myself there have been posts made where it did seem like the length of time on site had something to do with how your opinion would be recieved and valued.

Some of these posts are gone due to the previous threads that have been mysteriously pulled this evening.

Not trying to stir the pot at all. But as a newbie I have seen this.

Hear, hearhug Furthermore, do NOT dare to point out when someone is being arrogant, opinionated or immature. I learned early on not to do that to the 'senior' members of this clique. Now, I just ignore those who act in a puerile manner.

Oh, too true, however, from what I've seen they tend not to embark on campaigns against those they feel wronged them. I could be wrong, after all, I'm male.laugh

Well, I tend to stay away from "newbies", and their posts for the most part, because I don't know them, or what they're like.

It has little to do with the individual themselves, but rather some of the crappy experiences I've personally had on here. Which have made me wary even of some people I've "known" for a while.

I never saw the threads in question, so it's hard for me to comment, other than to say, no thread should ever be deleted, period!
