yeah i find it very annoying, especially for new profiles cos there have been so many fake profiles here recently.. apart from that, if you want to date someone, dont you think you should have a picture up.. it increases your chances by a million in my opinion..

well I have to point out that when I signed up again here I didnt put up a pic for awhile and got more mail then than I have since I put up a pic....no smart comments about how I look being the obvious reason lol

I think thats a bit extreme to be honest, people can have any number of reasons for not wanting to put up a pic. Perhaps there job, or they want someone to get to know the person behind the looks.

I couldn't agree more. They're could be a number of reasons they choose not to put up a pic.
I'd more concerned if a person is pretending to be something they're not than whether they have a pic up or not.

I know someone in the Intl forums who never had a pic up and started corresponding with another member. She sent him pics in oprivate when the time was right and they are together ever since.

well someone that wants to get to know someone behind the looks... that obviously falls in the self-esteem category like i said... that person isnt obviously comfortable putting a picture up due to his/her looks.. and i dont think you can lose your job for being on a dating site..
