I believe Drakes Equation has been revised and ammended since that original. It has been expanded to include a number of other variables, esp since extrasolar planets have been observed.I'll see if i can dig it up if anyone is interested.
Well that theory is up to putt anyway... As humans age they evolve into entirely different types. In today's interaction ..couples and families who separate get badly hurt become cynical and damaged in all age groups.
I know I am not the same person that I was three yrs ago,I was confident in my shoes. Lived a high pressure but exciting life.
Bang.... in one split second life as I knew it was gone finished by an act of fate! not to me directly I could have handled that.
I have now changed completely! everything I was I am not anymore.All I have left I think is my sense of humour and I must hold on to that at all costs.I feel very vulnerable, unsure and lost a lot of the time.
So how does that fit into the equation with so many others out there that are the same as me... some worse, some better.
No body can take all that into account just a stab in the dark...
This is what happens when left to the theorists out there who have got nothing better to do, and they Do! live on a different planet to us.

CassiusBelli: Well that is the thing about any statistical analysis, it has to take in as many variables as possible to give a probable outcome.
Yes, I think it's better if we just drink the Sambucca ourselves, at least it will distort the equation and eliminate some of the variables and we know then what the outcome is.
