I have played guitar for 18 years now and I still havent found a girl who likes being around someone playing guitar for a couple of hours a day, I'm a great player everyone else says ('');
but i think im medicore... my questions is why is it that all the girls who like music get frustrated when their guys play? i dont ignore them while im playing. also If your a female between the ages of 18 and 29 and you like bands like NIRVANA, PENNYWISE or anything similiar, if you like to chat hit me up, laters kpunk('')

kpunk, maybe it's simply that she gets tired of hearing it.

I wouldn't take it as a personal insult. Just give her some space. Maybe she wants to watch her favorite tv show and can't even hear it because you're playing too loud. Or something.

Maybe you could find another place to practice? Like the garage maybe? You need your privacy and she needs hers. If that's not feasible, maybe pick a time to practice when she's not there.

Really, though, you have to be willing to compromise a little bit. Even though music is very important to you, you shouldn't expect it to have the same importance to everyone else. Same for bowling or stamp collecting or whatever. And she should be willing to compromise too. She should allow you times to practice and not get angry or upset or jealous over the time spent with the guitar instead of with her.

And if none of the above works out, then resign yourself to living alone, dude. Sometimes that's the best solution.

i am single now for the first time in almost 6 years lol someday i would like to be married with kids and this old punk could put his hat on the rack satisfied with it
