wexlady41: 50 years ago I would say they would have had a revolution on their hands... but not now. The days of the fighting Irish are long gone...unless it's with each other.

The government have the people fighting against each other... so the people are not uniting in fighting the government. A clever ploy... Divide and Conquer.

While the private sector are telling the public sector to shut up and put up. The unemployed are telling the employed they are lucky to have jobs. The public patients on trolleys are giving out about the vhi patients in private rooms. The vhi patients are giving out about price rises.

So who is watching what the government is doing? Nobody. They can do what they like and we will just take it.

i think the expenses row got something to do with it laugh now its all in the open the economy on the turn ,could be something in it rolling on the floor laughing

It has for now or so it seems,,, wonder if it will walk with us into the duller days, i hope it does for the sake of the Irish economy in the future, we may as well invite cowen, harney and the rest to each meal,, because at the moment there are eating from our plates anywayhandshake
