I choose positive words and experience positive results. The thoughts I think and the words I speak have tremendous power. They can influence my life in either positive or negative ways, for they affect the expectations I hold in my heart and the outcomes I experience in my life. Today I choose to use positive words. I make a conscious effort to think positive thoughts and to act in positive ways. By doing so, I open my life and the lives of those I pray for to the ever-present abundance of God.
If I am anxious about a particular situation or event, I change my thoughts about it. I approach it with new eyes--spiritual eyes. By expressing my faith in God and holding positive thoughts, my expectations are elevated to a higher level and the outcomes I envision are revealed in wonderful ways.

I try to have a positive spin on everything in life.. Why worry about things they will work out if you have a positive attitude..If you are positive then people around you are more likely to be the same also have a great day.

I like what you say, but you are not opening anyone to god. You are opening them up to the possibility of being positive and reducing the possibility of toxic people affecting your life.

Face it, lapses happen. Let the Lord pull you up by your bootstraps, dust you off and help you realize; by acknowledging the slip, you've already succeeded.

Take responsibility for your own actions. If you get pulled up by your bootstraps, YOU did it for yourself. YOU had the strength, not some invisible sky wizard.
When will people stop taking power from themselves by pretending to lean on things that are not demonstrably real?
I think people need to be more careful with terms. Very few creation proponents (if any) would deny that mutation and natural selection take place, so in one sense people who believe in creation do believe in evolution.
As to the "ascent of man" and the origin of life... Science can't test it. Science has no tools to test history. Repeatable experiments can do no more than tell us if some chemical mechanism works, not whether it actually happened that way.
I am convinced that it takes a great deal of faith to look at the complexity of a living cell and assert with confidence that a series of undirected and undesigned coincidences happened to produce such a phenomenally complex machine - an assertion that science can not confirm. Again: science can test chemical mechanisms consistent with random generation of organic chemicals and metabolism-like chemical processes, but it can't test whether it happened that way. Asserting that life happened through random processes is an unscientific, non-testable hypothesis.

The problem is that you are underinformed. There ARE ways to test, they are repeatable, and observable.
The misunderstanding comes from the fact that evolution is FACT, the "theory" of evolution is only the mechanism by which we explain the FACT of evolution.
Speciation happens, and we DO all have a common ancestry. Those things are demonstrable and observable. The explaination of HOW it happened it the theory and even if it were proven wrong, we would still have to find a way to explain the FACT of evolution.
It happened, and it takes no faith (belief) to accept facts and evidence.
No one, has ever asserted that it happened through random process, and further the god claim is not only not scientific but unsupported by ANY evidence.
Steveno: it takes a lot of faith to believe that random mutation explains the diversity of life despite the evidence of observations in the real world.
It is NOT despite those observations, it is BECAUSE of them.
MOST mutations, do not get passed on and have no affect on the evolution of a species.
You miss the entire point.
EVOLUTION IS FACT. How it happens is the theory. But speciation happens and has been predicted, accurately and IS observed through fossils and DNA.
Even the theory is VERY solidly grounded in FACT. It is supported by mountains of evidence with NOTHING ever contradicting itself.
If you are a creationist, then there are MANY things that are demonstrably wrong with your belief. Not the least of which is the age of the earth.
By the way, how did this get to a discussion on evolution???
Falkirkguy: What was this thread about again?I agree with the above.
It was supposed to be about being positive, although the OP started getting into how being positive channels god or someo nonsense.
I agree that being positive greatly affects those around you, and cuts the toxic people out of your life.
Not sure how it got to evolution, the person who brought that up not only has a very limited understanding of the science, but has no understanding of the fact that just because I dont' accept god as real doesn't mean I HAVE TO accept evolution. So they are NOT related.
Not believing in god does NOT mean I accept evolution (although clearly I do)
Can we get back to the REAL (and actually discussable) topic of being positive?

It is the right of the OP to express herself as an individual. If someone believes in god and that belief makes them feel positive in their thoughts and daily life, let it be so. We are all individuals and will express ourselves through many channels as we pass through life. What is nonsense to some has a deep meaning to others. The thread is about being positive and how an individual expresses this, so why not just accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative. Does not matter if you are religious, agnostic or aethist.

I agree...... to be positive you have to open up to the universe...... if you believe in 'God', so be it..... if you believe in some universal life force, so be it..... if you only believe in yourself and you believe you hold the universe in your hands.......... say 'hello' to Reggie!
