The English are grand but they are not culturaly and socially the closest race of people to the irish. We are Celts so The Scots and Welsh would be that.

I think with Rugby your dealing with a whole different type of fan, if it was soccer it probably would have kicked off!

howlingwolf: I suppose as long as they don't call their victims fuzzy guzzies or paddies while they are doing it, everything is fine.

Oh yeah once they do that, there is no problem!

But most English are sound, you get you're elements every where, but it's quiet annoying when it's coming from someone uneducated. Hating and blaming people they know nothing about!

Take it easy girlies. I was only talking history, not my opinion, just fact. The English, like the Scotch and Welsh are the same race as ourselves. It's the rulers who caused all the misery and as we know they are not of these islands. The Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (Windors) and those at Her Majesties Service in this and their island share nothing with us anymore than a flea who feeds off the blood of a dog shares with the dog.

My last two girlfriends were English, so I think that shows my 'hands across the ocean' spirit. Lol! Plus I watched yesterdays game with two of my closest friends, both of whom are former British Army. In fact I felt sorry we beat England because my mates were so gutted. I don't particularly feel any loyalty to my own team which either spits during the national anthem or refuses to stand for it, preferring that awful 'Irelands Bawl'.

No I'm not. I'm living in West Cork and that alone should make you suspicious that I am not a Cork man. I support Munster coz they are a great bunch of blokes and they play with heart but my heart is not with the so called 'Irish' team.
