I've gone to the trouble of making a huge and I mean huge pot of Scotch Broth. Normally, I just take as much as I want and heat it in a bowl in the microwave.

Someone has just told me that this destroys all the goodness of the veg and the meat. Is this true?help

Well the whole thing that microwaves destroy vitamins and nutrients in veg is a myth some studies show it is better at keeping the nutrients in food than using an oven. all forms of cooking will destroy some nutrients and vitamins, all microwaves do is heat the water molecules in the food to generate heat.

I do think heating food up in the oven makes it taste nicer than using a microwave but thats JMO
