Funnily enough, there seems to only be a few ads for golf balls and none were being sold for €40.
FluffyDuffy: Its only back in operation a few weeks and I advertised in the Dublin gumtree, figuring that people in dublin don`t use NI sterling as legal tender I asked for 40 euro works out at just over 36 sterling, The money wasnt important I just wanted rid of them

Given the rate you claim to have offered at and the rates on other ads, I'd reckon the real reasons why you didn't sell the balls at one fifth the rate of other ads is more likely that your ad was for imaginary golf balls on an imaginary site
