I think if there is a chance, you have to grasp it.
Attraction is a "strike while it's hot" thing.
I know from experience, so don't think I'm patronising you, that if you leave it too long, or bawk out.. the whole thing goes off the boil. Your correspondent will have thought you'd lost interest, and may have moved on, and it's generally too late to recover what you had. Of course there may be exceptions, but that's a rule of thumb. If you do decide to get back in touch with her, hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.
I hope I'm helping here. I don't want to seem like the new arrogant guy, I realise that this website is about meeting people and making accquaintances. It's also about helping people.. and this is one of the few areas I may actually be able to help in, because I've been there!

Oh, the story of my life and not just in here when I failed to grasp the all too important moment because I either didn't recognise an oppertunity or was too afraid to act on one. And then when I tried to revisit it, well the moment are gone.
Then there are the other ones when I was too proud and immature to admit I was wrong and ended up walking off into the sunset alone as if I had been hard done to.
I think sometimes, we're our own worst enemies.
