nanners2863: I'm a hairstylist at a prominent salon. I strictly cut womans hair. Thirteen years ago at our old salon I did cut mens hair..and it was random..in fact I can remember the whole three men clients I had. Soooo..at work yesterday checking my schedule and low and behold our front line squeezed me in a gents hair cut. I approach front line and the lady who took the call said this guy insisted I cut his hair, that I used to cut it at the old salon. She said I don't do gent cuts but that she would check with me to see if I'd do it. He was adament that he book with me and insisted that I already talked to him and okayed it. I have no idea who this guy is..the number he gave is an unlisted cell. A group of girls at work think he is a secret admirer who will come in and sweep me off my feet , a small group think he may be a crazed stalker who will rip the scissors out of my hand and harm me , I think it is probably a clients husband but really have no clue? What do you think? If he even shows up I'll keep you all posted lol.
Hi Nanners...... My Ex is also a very good hairstylist and used to work in a prominent salon chain in the UK, and is a very good stylist and colourist too. I know it works slightly different in Canada as sytlist and colourists tend to stick to one speciality, but my ex was a superb all rounder.
After 30 years with my ex I am also very much aware that when a woman finds a stylist she likes she sticks with her for many years..... Clients become very loyal and will not change their stylist unless they leave the salon, retire or through death or some other drastic measure.
I would say this guy found the same with you. It is possible that like many women, he has not found a better stylist and is therefore insisting on you do it, now that he has found you again.
Nanners If you dont like the look of him tell him your surname is todd, and your great grandfather was also a barber called sweenie Then offer him a homemade pie with that cupper
