I couldn't care less if every royal died, but Victoria Day (the last Monday before or on May 24th) is worth a day off.

It's the unofficial beginning of summer in Canada, which is as good an excuse for a party (especially considering how short the summers are).

Enjoy a two-four on the two-four, or just enjoy the day, period.

Rush:
"Everyone would gather
On the twenty-fourth of May
Sitting in the sand
To watch the fireworks display.
Dancing fires on the beach,
Singing songs together.
Though it's just a memory,
Some memories last forever."

I can't remember the last "nice" Victoria Dat weekend we had in Alberta. Must be before my time, and I've been here for over 30 years.laugh

Cold, windy, raining, and even a bit of snow. Typical Alberta weather to ring in the beginning of summer. roll eyes
