How important is age too you, on intelligence level? (18)
sassy_candi_951Ames, Iowa USA10 Threads 115 PostsI'm 19 and I get told all the time, Guys who are 22 or over need some one mature, and think that 19 or even 18 for that matter can't be mature because there's too many people out there of that age who prove their point. So wondering, if you stress on age rather than getting to know them.

Hi Marcym But on the internet how can you express how mature you are if you don't even get the time of day? How do you catch their interest once they find out how old you are? lets say you're talking to a 18 yr old and you see that and start to click the close button, what would make you want to get to know them ( that one spark that keeps you going)?

Age isn't an issue with me. Racheal Welch has gotten more beautiful to me as she has aged must me 65 or so now...Intelligence is a bit different. I could love someone who is without a great deal of knowledge, but not someone who has no interest in growth or the thirst for knowledge. Looks arent everything either, I have seen some FABULOUS looking idiots!

HHHmmmm,thats a tough question I mean wow,18 I must say probably nothing..I mean but sure would talk to him...Age is a preference I think,I wont date someone younger then 24 or older then 65...But they could catch an interest in communication with me sure...I think pretty much though something about certain people really catch my attention.Do you like older men?

I agree Intelligence is a bit different, but most people associate age with it, Now what is the key thing that would keep you wanting to talk to the person who just might be a lot younger? would you accept the advice from a 19 yr old knowing that they haven't really expericned what you might call life. What about on a life changing or life experinced subject.... let's say love?

I do like older men but they tend to think I'm just a Dittzy California girl who thinks life is a game and that I have yet Experinced it and I wondering if there's something that I might not know about on the age difference but I hate being called too young or being told I don't know anything. Just because you personally might not have experinced something doesn't mean you have never been affected by it or have witnessed what it causes... whatever the situation might be.

This is very true,no one should disregaurd you as not being mature or to young,for all they know you could have seen and done alot more in your life then most at the age of 60,I realize how this could be frustrating...But still voice your opinion anyway,might make people think twice..;-)

For awhile... and then you start getting passed over because you're 'too old'. : ) Enjoy your youth while you have it and don't worry about being considered 'too young'. In the first place, as others have said in this thread, they're judging you... and why should the opinion of people who can't accept you for who you are matter to you? Stick to people who honour you. Secondly, youth has a tendency to disappear over time... patience!

I'm not in a hurry to grow anymore, when I was 10 it was a different story, but I hate being considered unimportant becasue of my age... I get looked over all the time and I raise my hand to voice my thoughts and I get shot down all the time. I'm not to worried about what people think anymore but I'd like to voice my thoughts and have someone of 80 say I see where your coming form but I don't agree with you... rather than be passed by and not really know the reason because the moment they found out how old I was They were gone. I wanted to know maybe if it was me? If I tend not to make sense please let me know, I have a problem with the whole thinking and writing out how i say it in my head...lol : )

Thank you daughter is just like me,she is stuborn and rebeliouse and damn it speaks her mind ,lol..But my son is kind and sweet and quiet...They are both nurturing of things I have noticed and If I forget to say please they let me know very loudly in front of everyone,lol..My little guy will be a great guy in anything he chooses,my daughter I fear will take over the world,lol..But very different personalities ,like me and my ex husband were opposites ,thats why we got along so well....
