It's very sad. I don't know what the current tally is, but last I heard it was 20 horses...all tethered to trees or fences and slaughtered live for the meat.
Wow thats sick,i hope they catch them, takes alot of nerve to steal and kill someones horse

They don't even bother to steal them. They just walk into the pasture and cut them alive where they are standing. It's just the lowest thing I can think of.

Yes it is,i couldn't get the video to work, storming here, but read it,will watch it later...thanks for sharing
I read in a paper last week, about a dog owner up the north east coast of Scotland......
Here's the break down.
Owner takes black lab for a walk to the shops. Arrives at shop, but nowhere to tether dog. Owner spots truck, parked at side of road. Owner ties lead to truck bumper. Owner goes into shop. Truck driver enters truck, starts up, pulls away. 4 miles along the road, truck driver is flagged down.
The owner escaped all prosecution for their incompetent decision. Personally, I would do the same to the owner!! Poor big pups never stood a chance!!
xxfrecklesxx: me too... I would hate someone to slaughter any of mine for meat...
The good news is that there's a large rescue network available. Florida already is good with the lists because of so many hurricane evacuations. But this story grabbed everyone's heart.

y do people keep animals if they can not look after them, its bloody disgusting the way some people treat animals. i am a vegetarian and have been for nearly 7 years. even animal testing i regard as wrong. animals have feelings 2. i hope all animal abusers rot in hell.
