i went out with a girl for nearly 18 months who i met online but its a lot more difficult to find someone now

Ah yeah, more good than bad on here in my experience..not that i've met loads! I've met one of my now best mates on here...i'm sure he's lurkin about somewhere!

About two years ago, I met a woman on another site. We emailed back and forth several times. Then spoke by phone several more. I arrainged to take her to dinner at a great restaurant in Sligo. I arrived at her home by taxi, flowers in hand at 7:00 PM. I immediately suspected that she had a few drinks in her. Taxied to the restaurant and I ordered a Coke. She ordered a bottle of wine. She finished off the bottle ever before the food came. When the food came she ordered another bottle of wine. By 9:30 she was pissed out of her head. I got a taxi for us to get her home.....she PASSED OUT in the taxi! Needless to say, no second date!

well me personally...i've met some really nice guys online...and on here ive met some great friends, male and female...dont really get dates off here tho...maybe cos they read my posts and think im a bit of a nut job

omg i have ! met a guy here it wasa good few month ago, we were txtn great as if we knew each other ten when we met we hardly spoke , there were alot of silances!! hope that dosnt happen againOver even just bad dates? Stalkers ?

Absolutely no bad experiences although I have had a few not so great dates but the majority of guys I have gone out with have been very nice but we werent suited one way or another.
I have made some great friends on here though.
I think if you feel like going out when someone asks you, take a chance. If you are a bit nervous keep the date short, e.g. meeting for a coffee, meet in the daylight and in a busy, public place so you can get a feel for the person before going somewhere more quiet (maybe) on a 2nd date. If the person scares you or puts you off in any way you will feel safe.
Of course, a lot of people dont show how psycho they are until you have known them a while but that happens in real life as much as meeting people on the internet.
